Brief about SWAYAM MOOCs

SWAYAM is a prestigious project of the Government of India Ministry of Education for online education and for lifelong learning. About 40 courses in the area of teacher training produced by various NITTTRs are conducted every year on this platform. The platform is also used by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for offering courses for newly inducted technical teachers under National Initiative for Technical Teacher Training (NITTT) and for the courses under Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching (ARPIT) courses. The development of more than 40 courses has been awarded to four NITTTRs. Out of these courses 13 nos of technical teachers training MOOCs and two MOOCs each under AICTE-NITTT and NRC(i.e. total 17 courses) has been awarded to NITTTR Bhopal. Twelve of the SWAYAM teacher training MOOCs have been launched during the Years 2018-20 are given in following tables.

DMRDE faculty contributed as faculty and coordinator in two of the twelve MOOCs and the department developed all 517-studio based video programmes included in these MOOCs courses.
