The Curriculum Development & Assessment of the Institute is extending its services to the technical education system of the country.  This centre basically contributes to improve the quality of curriculum of conventional programmes by review, revision and development as per contemporary needs of the stakeholders.  Developing and training of Human Resources specially in the area of curriculum has been the core service of this Centre.  All Departments and Centres of the Institute closely work with the CDC for its Curriculum related Projects.

OBJECTIVES :

The broad objectives of the centre are as follows ;
(i)    Preparing and developing guidelines and norms for quality changes in the curriculum of Technical Education Programmes ;
(ii)    Developing Curriculum of Emerging fields of Engineering and Technology keeping in mind the future expectation of the employers ;
(iii)    Conducting and carrying out  Need Assessment for Curriculum Development.
(iv)    Educating and Training man-power for curriculum development work ;
(v)    Organising stakeholder conferences, seminar, discussion and debates on various curriculum themes/issues ;
(vi)    Promote Need Based Curriculum Development  for various courses of Engineering and Technology Area ;
(vii)    Advocate and Propagate the Emerging Models/Approaches of Curriculum Development on scientific lines.
