For the year 2023-24, NITTTR Bhopal has strategically identified three pioneering emerging areas for focused research and development, each poised to reshape industries and societies. These areas are updated based on evolving trends and the implementation of NEP 2020, ensuring relevance and impact. At the forefront of technology, the OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) and ATMP (Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging) semiconductor industry is a nexus of innovation. NITTTR Bhopal's dedicated Skilling Centre in this domain aims to address the industry's pressing need for skilled professionals who can contribute to semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and testing. With the rapid growth of electronic devices, this centre seeks to develop expertise / skilled manpower for the semiconductor chip manufacturing industry and ensures the industry's sustained progress and technological evolution.

The 5G/6G Laboratory is a visionary response to the escalating demand for high-speed connectivity and low-latency networks propelled by emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), AR/VR, UAV and Autonomous Vehicles. Positioned at the cusp of academia and industry, the laboratory serves as a crucible for technical teachers, students, and startups, fostering competencies, awareness, and innovation in 5G/6G technology. With a focus on the cutting-edge advancements driving 5G/6G technology, our lab offers research opportunities in the domain of Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC), laying the foundation for critical applications from industrial automation to autonomous vehicles.  from exploration of secure and resilient networks to ensure the robustness of technological development against evolving security challenges. Amid the global shift towards sustainable energy solutions, NITTTR Bhopal's Green Energy Technologies Development Centre spearheads research in renewable energy sources. Ranging from solar and wind power to energy-efficient systems, this centre aims to lead advancements that mitigate environmental impact, promote energy independence, and nurture the sustainable development of communities. The centre aspires to cultivate in-house expertise to establish Green energy labs within technical institutions across the country with initially, creation of a small-scale hydrogen fuel laboratory to promote research, innovation, and education in the field of green energy.

The outcomes of research conducted within these centres have the power to transform industries, elevate standards of living, and pave the way for a sustainable future. The advertisement for NITTTR-PDF operates on a rolling basis, allowing candidates to apply at any time throughout the year. When applying, candidates can specify their preferred Centre/Lab at NITTTR, Bhopal.

Qualifications and Experience:

Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree and a good academic record throughout. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply along with proof of thesis submission. Candidates should preferably be less than 35 years of age at the time of applying.

Duration:

The fellowship's duration is initially set for one year, with the possibility of extension to a maximum of two years. The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment.

Eligibility:

The applicant should be an Indian citizen.

The applicant must have obtained a PhD or equivalent degree from a recognized University. Those who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will be offered lower fellowship amount till they qualify the eligible degree

The upper age limit for the fellowship is 35 years at the time of the submission of application, age will be calculated by taking the date of application. Age relaxation of 5 (five) years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged & Women candidates.

NITTTR-PDF can be availed only once by a candidate in his/her career.

 

Fellowship:

• Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated) for candidates with awarded degrees.
• Rs. 35,000/- per month for candidates who have submitted the thesis, but degree not awarded.

 

Reservation

 

Application Submission:

• To apply for the Post-doc Fellowship, interested candidates must submit their application materials via email to director@nitttrbpl.ac.in.
• The application should include the candidate's updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting their academic and research achievements (two recent publications).
• Additionally, candidates are required to send a detailed (minimum 500 words) research proposal in the application, outlining the objectives of the research work they intend to undertake during the fellowship period.

Note: Sending only a resume / CV by email will not be considered as a complete application.

 

Selection Process:

• The selection process for NITTTR-PDF will be rigorous and impartial.
• An Expert Committee, appointed by the Director, will scrutinise all the applications.
• Applicants have the flexibility to submit their applications year-round (rolling advertisement). The applications will undergo a screening process, and a select group of candidates will be invited for an interview and presentation. Comprehensive application reviews occur quarterly, specifically around the dates of April 30th, July 31st, October 31st, and January 31st in each calendar year. Following these review dates, candidates can expect to receive a decision within 30 days subject to availability of positions.

Additional Information:

At NITTTR Bhopal, we prioritise transparency and integrity in our selection process and expect a high level of commitment from our candidates. Here are some important points to consider:

• Screening and Interview Selection: 
  • The Institute reserves the right to carefully screen applications and select candidates for interviews based on suitability and alignment with our research goals. Merely meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
• Correctness of Information: 
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure the accuracy and truthfulness of the information provided in the application. If it comes to light at any point that any information in the application is incorrect or false, the candidature/appointment may be subject to cancellation or termination.
• Research Location: 
  • Selected candidates are expected to carry out their research work and fulfil their duties exclusively at NITTTR Bhopal.

Termination of the Fellowship

If a fellow wishes to terminate the fellowship, the following procedures shall be observed:

• The fellow must promptly communicate the decision to terminate the fellowship to the centre/ department head through the designated mentor.
• Furthermore, in cases where satisfactory progress is not being achieved. Institute reserves the right to initiate the termination of the fellowship.

Leave Entitlement

Fellows of the Postdoctoral Fellowship (NITTTR-PDF) are entitled to leave in accordance with the regulations established in the institute. Maternity leave as per the Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time would be available to female candidates in all categories.
