LEARNING RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (PRINT AND NON PRINT)

The department contributed various types of LRs using analog technology like celluloid film processing on 16mmand 35 mm to latest High definition Digital technology-based resources. List is given in Annexure-2.

  • NVEQCF project(2010-2013)- Under the National Skill Development Mission of GOI, DMRDE faculty contributed to IT and IT- enabled services curriculum and Furniture making curriculum. have designed and developed curriculum (Approx. 95 nos.) with the help of industry and field experts. DISTANCE LEARNING MODE

The faculty of the department has important contributions in organizing Distance education programmes in inductee teachers training, mentor teachers training, in-service teachers’ training.

A. ICT/ A-VIEW BASED ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMMES A-BRIEF

The ICT- AVIEW based training programme was started on 4th June 2012. Over the year’s different long term programmes of 1 to 2 week(s) of duration were offered. The department faculty and support staff has contributed and established a system and conducted training programmes. Guidance from IIT Mumbai was also taken. Various programmes offered were Induction Training Programme Phase-I & Phase-II, Core Teaching Skills, Research Methodology etc. In order to enhance participation from regional technical institute, NITTTR, Bhopal has also launched 48 nos. of ICT-A-VIEW Content based online programmes during the academic year 2014-15. These programmes were conducted of 2 hours duration (morning & evening) in flipped mode.

B. Contribution of DMRDE in SWAYAM MOOCS- MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES (MOOCS) OFFERED-2018-20

C. Brief about SWAYAM MOOCs

SWAYAM is a prestigious project of the Government of India Ministry of Education for online education and for lifelong learning. About 40 courses in the area of teacher training produced by various NITTTRs are conducted every year on this platform. The platform is also used by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for offering courses for newly inducted technical teachers under National Initiative for Technical Teacher Training (NITTT) and for the courses under Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching (ARPIT) courses. The development of more than 40 courses has been awarded to four NITTTRs. Out of these courses 13 nos of technical teachers training MOOCs and two MOOCs each under AICTE-NITTT and NRC(i.e. total 17 courses) has been awarded to NITTTR Bhopal. Twelve of the SWAYAM teacher training MOOCs have been launched during the Years 2018-20 are given in following tables.

DMRDE faculty contributed as faculty and coordinator in two of the twelve MOOCs and the department developed all 517-studio based video programmes included in these MOOCs courses. Details are given below. Lacs of teachers have been benefitted by these MOOCs till date. The MOOC on ‘ICT in Teaching and Learning’ is also identified by the Ministry of External Affairs to be launched in another foreign country Ghana.

The AICTE NITTT mentor training and capacity building programmes are also conducted by the institute. The DMRDE faculty members are coordinating one AICTE Module on instructional Planning and Delivery and SWAYAM Courses in learning, instructional methods and Instructional media and “ICT in Teaching and Learning”. More than 35000 teachers have been benefitted by the MOOCs developed by MOOCs. DMRDE has developed all the 517 videos under these MOOCs. The list of SWAYAM MOOCs is given below-

D. AICTE- NITTT MENTOR ORIENTATION TRAINING PROGRAMMES

The National Initiative on Technical Teacher’s training (NITTT) has been launched in 2019 for new recruited In-service teachers of the technical education system of the country having up to 5 years of experience. The eight SWAYAM MOOCs Courses developed for new teachers have been developed by the four NITTTRs. NITTTR Bhopal has developed two of the eight modules. These Modules were offered through https://online-degree.swayam.gov.in/ and ERP managed on portal www.nittt.ac.in. The department has developed 73 videos for the two modules

G. CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING OF TRAINERS OF MENTORS USING AND GOOGLE MEET, MENTOR ORIENTATION TRAINING UNDER AICTE-NITTT

The DMRDE faculty has also conducted six capacity building programmes for other three NITTTRS in familiarizing with implementation of the module 2 and module 4 (AICTE NITTT) developed the institute.

H. INSTITUTE ANNUAL CALENDAR TRAINING PROGRAMMES

NITTTR Bhopal, from April 2020 is conducting all its training programmes in online mode. Two different technology platforms are used:

● GMEET and Google Classroom - GMEET is used for live discussions and Google Classroom for facilitating learning materials and assessment of participants.

● GMEET and MOODLE LMS-GMEET is used for live discussions and MOODLE LMS is used to facilitate access to the learning materials and assessment of participants.
