Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Education
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Education at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, since its establishment in 1965, has consistently played a pivotal role in enhancing the professional development of technical teachers, industry professionals, and technical staff. The department has been conducting a wide array of short-term training programmemes (STTPs) in both contact and online modes, catering to participants from across India and other parts of the world. These training programmes focus on both content enrichment and pedagogical advancements in technical education.
In alignment with the evolving needs of academia and industries, the department has undertaken numerous curriculum innovation projects, laboratory-based training modules, research in engineering education, and the development of high-quality learning resources. It has also offered consultancy services and executed National and International level projects aimed at strengthening the technical education ecosystem. These efforts have significantly contributed to systemic improvements and upskilling initiatives across various states. Department faculty members also contributes in development and conduction of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Education (DEEEE) offers a wide range of programmemes, including;

- PG Diploma in Electric Vehicle Technology
- PG Diploma in Energy Harvesting and Storage
4. Diploma in Semiconductor Packaging (OSAT/ATMP)
These programmemes are designed to equip students and researchers with advanced knowledge and practical skills to address current and emerging challenges in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
The department houses several state-of-the-art laboratories (CoE-OSAT, EV, VLSI, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy lab, etc.) and advanced software’s (MATLAB, Cadence, PSIM, etc.) and Centre of Excellence (CoE) that support hands-on training, interdisciplinary research, and product development.

MISSION
- Undertake researches to develop, review and modify curricula to match the needs of electrical and electronics engineering and allied programmemes to enhance employability of the graduates.
- Undertake researches in emerging areas of electrical and electronics engineering to enhance employability of the graduates.
- Offer long-term and short-term programmemes related to electrical and electronics engineering and technical education for quality improvement through blended and other modes.
- Undertake Outcome-Based Curriculum Development in Electrical and allied disciplines.
- Undertake consultancy and extension services to external agencies with a view to help society related to electrical and electronics engineering education.
- Author books and different types of learning resources to fulfil the needs of electrical and electronics engineering and engineering education.
- Network with industries, national and international institutions, R & D, community and service organisations for synergic partnership.
OBJECTIVES
The following are the broad objectives of the DEEEE:
- Offer quality training programmemes in emerging areas of electrical and electronics engineering and allied disciplines for teachers of polytechnics and engineering colleges in different modes including online-cum-contact mode.
- Offer long-term, short-term, and certificate programmemes related to Electrical and Electronics and allied disciplines of Engineering.
- Liaison with industry/employers to evolve models to train teachers in different modes.
- Undertake systemic and action researches necessary for electrical and electronics engineering and technical education system to improve teaching-learning systems.
- Develop competency banks of electrical and allied disciplines.
- Evolve innovative models of outcome-based curricula to enhance employability of graduates.
- Evolve innovative models for laboratory instruction.
- Develop a variety of learning resources, online courses, and MOOCs-based programmemes .
- Undertake innovative engineering education practices in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Train electrical and electronics engineering technical teachers from overseas.
- Undertake electrical and electronics engineering education consultancy and extension activities for industry, technical education institutions, and other organizations.
- Network with stakeholders and user systems, viz., technological universities, Boards of Technical Education, and DTEs of various states in the country.
- Collaborate with community development agencies and industry to further continuing education and vocational education.
