Department of Mechanical Engineering Education

The National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, was established in 1965 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The institute has been recognized as a Deemed-to-be University (under distinct category) and offers academic programs at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels.
The Department offers B.Tech. in Mechanical and Smart Manufacturing with an intake of 30, M.Tech. in Computer Aided Design Manufacture and Automation with an intake of 18, and Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering and allied areas. The department is also recognized as QIP center by AICTE for M.Tech and Ph.D. Programs. The Department is equipped with digital classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories in the Center for Advanced Design and Manufacturing, and Dr B.R. Ambedkar Center of Excellence. The Department is actively involved in Research in emerging areas and educational reforms which have made significant contributions to the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) implementation, MOOCs development, and teacher training for technical institutions across the globe.
