National Resource Centre (NRC) - Assessment and Evaluation

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has launched a major and unique initiative of online professional development of 1.5 million higher education faculty using the MOOCs platform SWAYAM. In the first phase, 75 discipline-specific National Resource Centres were identified for preparation of online training material with focus on latest developments in the discipline, new & emerging trends, pedagogical improvements and methodologies for transacting revised curriculum.The training material is available through SWAYAM to all the teachers.

NITTTR Bhopal has been identified as a National Resource Centres (NRCs) under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers' and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Scheme as one among 75 disciplines for conducting online refresher courses for all faculties under SWAYAM. NITTTR Bhopal launched the first MOOC programme (NRC -1) on Student Assessment and Evaluationunder NRC using SWAYAM platform in Nov., 2018.

In 2019 NITTTR Bhopal was selected for NRC-2 on Assessment of Practical and social skills in Higher Education. Under NRC – 2. The details of the major achievements and future plans are as under:

Future Plans

Based on the feedback of participants MOE has asked NITTTR Bhopal to rerun the NRC-2 on Assessment of Practical and social skills in Higher Education. The course has started from 1st December 2020 and will run up to end of January 2021.
